Intermediate -Quick overview of
MSPaint-Use imagination to create scenes
-Emphasis on coloring
-Final project will be a full color scene with people and/or animals made from the imagination
1 week curriculum, plus:-Introduction to perspective on objects
-Draw “3d” shapes, like cylinders, cones, and boxes
-Final project will be a “table top” with “3d” objects
2 week curriculum, plus:-Draw more complex isometric scenes
-Draw more complex isometric objects
-Final project will be an isometric drawing of a complex object, like a train
4 week curriculum, plus:-Introduction to non-isometric perspective drawing
-Use line tools to draw in one point perspective
-Final project will be a non-isometric perspective drawing
Advanced
-Introduction to Adobe Photoshop
-Use of layers and tracing
-Use of selection tools
-Final project will be a completed picture with sketch, line, and color layers
1 week curriculum, plus:
-Introduction to different selection processes, like “fill” and “stroke”
-Creating color palettes
-Introduction to text tool
-Final project will be a full color “painted” image with text
2 week curriculum, plus:
-Introduction to blending tools and airbrush
-Introduction to rendering with shadows
-Final project will be a freehand draw/paint with rendering and use of blending tools
4 week curriculum, plus:
-Introduction to cartooning as a creative outlet
-Compose cartoon layouts
-Create a short story
-Final project will be a fully illustrated and written comic strip
