Hello, my name is Anabel Avalos and I am the Director of the Building Kidz in Pacifica at the Linda Mar location. I began working for Building Kidz in 2015 as an Infant & Toddler teacher. I left to gain more experience and to find the right age group to work with. I came back to Building Kidz as the Transitional Kindergarten teacher. I am excited and motivated to work with the staff and children in my role as Director.
I have been working in the Early Childhood field since 2010 when I was enrolled in a lab day course to work with children ages 3 to 5 years old. This sparked my interest in working and continuing my studies in Early Childhood Education.
In 2018, I received my Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. In 2019 I continued my education by attending San Francisco state to obtain my Bachelors Degree in Child Adolescent Development with a concentration in Early Childhood Education.
As I explored working with different age groups, preschool is what I feel the most passionate about. Knowing that I have been part of a child’s development brings me much pride and joy.
