Owner and Operator
Stephanie Yeap
Stephanie Yeap is a therapist and educator who has worked with children in various capacities for over 20 years. She holds a degree in Psychology from UC Irvine and specialized training in treating autism spectrum disorders, having spent 15 years as a behavior therapist and early childhood interventionist in classroom, clinic, and in-home settings. Her lifelong passion for working with children and bringing families together inspired her to take on numerous classroom and fundraising volunteering roles for San Francisco Unified School District. To provide quality care for families in the Sunset District of San Francisco, she partnered with Building Kidz in 2022 to open a preschool with the mission of providing affordable, high quality early childhood education to families in her community. Stephanie lives with her husband, daughter, son, and rescue Chihuahua in the Parkside/Outer Sunset neighborhood of San Francisco. When not working at her Building Kidz school on Taraval street, she can usually be found taking walks on Ocean Beach, trying new international recipes in the kitchen, entertaining friends and family, or planning her next travel adventure.

Annie Ma-Reyes
Hello! It is my pleasure to welcome you to our Building Kidz Sunset Family! My name is Annie and I am thrilled to be the Director of BKS. My passion in working with children and serving families in the Sunset Community stemmed from my previous role as an afterschool director at Francis Scott Key Elementary and A.P. Giannini Middle School. I received my Bachelors of Art in Psychology with an emphasis in Child Development at SFSU and my Associates Degree in ECE at CCSF. I truly enjoy working with children and families in all capacities, and recognize the importance of a shared community and providing opportunities and resources for families to thrive. As an SF native, I enjoy taking walks and dining at our favorite restaurants in the Richmond and Sunset District, with my husband Mike and three-year-old son, Avery. Some of my hobbies include reading, cooking, and listening to the New Kids On The Block.

Faviola Bajo
Originally from Southern California, I moved to San Francisco in 2023 to continue my ECE journey as I attended San Francisco State University. I graduated with a B.A. in Childhood Development, with an emphasis on Early Care and Education. I have been part of the ECE field since 2021, where I started out as a classroom floater and a teachers assistant. From there, I became the Sea Turtles Classroom Teacher at Building Kidz School at Sunset. I love working in the classroom and helping my class of growing students and hope to step into the administrative side of Early Childhood in the near future. During my free time, I love the MCU films, Taylor Swift, building Lego sets, and singing karaoke.

Florence Guan
Hi! My name is Florence and I am a Teacher Assistant at Building Kidz School at Sunset. I began my teaching journey in early 2010, where I had the opportunity to teach young children at the Cornerstone Academy. It was then that I discovered my lifes career path lies in the field of Early Education. While working towards my Associate of Science (AS) degree in Child Development at CCSF, I continued as a substitute teacher in various preschool settings. I believe that spending time with kids is like seeing the world from a real unique perspective, a perspective that we long forgot as grown adults. They teach us, as we teach them.

Hi friends and families! My name is Anna Wu. I am very excited to be apart of the Building Kidz Sunset community. I love working with young children because it is rewarding and meaningful. It also provides me with joy of witnessing how childrens natural curiosity leads them in learning and fills them with energy. Not only that, I am very patient with children and I also allow them to learn at their own pace. I graduated at San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Art in Early Childhood Education with the emphasis on Young Child and Families.
