Our School Programs

The toddler program at Building Kidz School

Toddler Program

Waddlers: (1-2 Years)

Our classroom provides an ideal environment to foster individual development and self-help skills. We use a scaffolded approach to learning through systematically building on students’ experiences and knowledge as they are acquiring new skills in order to enhance learning and aid in the mastery of tasks. Their curious minds are exposed to an enriched curriculum focusing on language development by using pictures, books and basic academics in their environment. Following simple instructions is implemented through circle time, story time, art, and curriculum projects. Besides the social, emotional development, we also focus on developing fine motor skills through fun and sensory activities. Our Little Explorers are ready to put to practice their newfound independence by exploring their surroundings as they come with a Brighter understanding of their world around them.

Preschool Program

Preschool: (3-4 Years)

Our curious children are exposed to an environment which supports academic goals while immersing themselves into the beauty of the nature that surrounds them. Children are encouraged to explore within their classroom and within nature to incorporate a broader understanding of colors, shapes, letters and numbers. They are also taught during their creative circle to participate with open-ended questions that spark their cognitive, language and social skills. The children analyze information they know and continue to build their skills through experimenting, comparing and contrasting knowledge. Through everything they acquired while being in this group, the children are bursting with confidence and are ready to learn more about the world. This classroom provides an enriched and challenging hands-on curriculum that continues to ignite children’s inner curiosity enabling realistic learning opportunities through a solid routine that brings out their creativity. Exploring world geography, reading multicultural literature, researching world cultures, playing traditional games are just some of the ways we are building a community of global learners. Throughout the learning process, our students are able to watch their teacher model, or demonstrate, each step in the task or strategy multiple times. Such modeling and repetition allows students to understand both how to perform each step and why each step is important. In this phase our children are practicing by applying their knowledge and developing it further by learning about the world and its food, music and clothing. Children will get to explore and experience various cultures Around the World.

Pre-Kindergarten Program: (4+ Years)

Our super star explorers have already developed their Confidence, Commitment and Character and are now getting ready for the next phase in their preschool endeavors as future Kindergartners. These children will continue to be lifelong learners and will foster the love for exploration by further building on their existing knowledge base from getting additional exposure to science, math and technology. We implement many opportunities for growth and will continue to build on their emotional, social, cognitive, physical, communication, and academic skills. When the children leave our program, they will be ready to embark on their next journey and will be prepared to take on new challenges confidently!

Parent Testimonials

Our daughter (just under 3yrs old) has been going here over a year now and she seems to love it. Her dad and I also love this school and it's staff. They've been in the trenches with us through all the tough stages... separation anxiety, potty training, and even a broken leg. Being able to see our daughter throughout the day via their secure webcam system is definitely an added bonus. Dad and I feel blessed to have found this school with its wonderful teachers and programs.

So we left our last childcare because I witnessed an incident (another child) but leaving was coming because our son was crying at drop off in the old place and we could not figure out why...but he LOVES this place, after our tour he could not stop talking about it, I was happy after our trial day and on his start day he reassured me in the car, “mom, there is a school bus and a firetruck and a train, so many things mom, it’s going to be fine!” He is 2.5yrs and reassuring mom. He went from bawling his eyes out at drop off at old childcare to going happily to gramma’s house (which was a vacation of love and being spoiled) to this and from what I have witnessed with my own eyes he is well cared for and so are the rest of the students, teachers here do their best, and management is responsive to feedback and attentive to individualizing care as much as possible! And cameras!!!! Watching him nap or play or interact is wonderful, communication with caregivers has been awesome so far, only 3 wks in but still...I feel very comfortable here and our son says bye without issue after months of tantrums elsewhere (no tantrums saying goodbye at gramma’s either, all about comfort!)

I have been bringing my son here for over a year now and I am so impressed. I have used Kindercare for my youngest and they were fine but spent more time doing paperwork than actually interacting with the kids. My older son has been to 2 places he's 14 now. All were very expensive and specialized in art, languages, music and dance etc. this place is affordable and includes the same activities as the private art school offered. I also can't say enough good things about the staff. They are incredibly patient and kind. They genuinely care about each of the kids and helping them through developmental challenges and behavioral challenges. Try them out you won't regret it.

Our curriculum is a comprehensive arts-integrated learning program in which children develop skills and knowledge of numeracy, literacy, music, arts, socialization, self-regulation and control, self-efficacy, morality, fine and gross motor skills, and emotional expression.
Additionally, our children perform two shows annually: a Broadway style production in June and a winter recital in December.
