I have been an Early Childhood Educator in the San Mateo community since 2007. Born and raised here on the peninsula, I’ve attended both Skyline Community College and Notre Dame de Namur University.
Our proprietary PA curriculum fully integrates music, dance, and theater into our age appropriate development standards through classes and Broadway style productions.
Keeping our children safe is our top priority and we take it very seriously. Our schools are sanitized daily and comprehensive safety protocols have been implemented.
Learning Through Life Experiences allows a child’s learning to become experimental, imaginative and sensory based. Our pedagogical approach is to learn through these real life experiences, such as emergency services, health and nutrition, etc.
Our children are continuously nurtured by exceptional teachers and caregivers along with age appropriate educational materials for kinesthetic, audial, visual, and touch learners.
Our children exceed the entry level academic expectations of elementary schools in the community so that they are well prepared for their transition into their next phase of learning.
Our classroom provides an ideal environment to foster individual development and self-help skills. We use a scaffolded approach to learning through systematically building on students’ experiences and knowledge as they are acquiring new skills in order to enhance learning and aid in the mastery of tasks. Their curious minds are exposed to an enriched curriculum focusing on language development by using pictures, books and basic academics in their environment. Following simple instructions is implemented through circle time, story time, art, and curriculum projects. Besides the social, emotional development, we also focus on developing fine motor skills through fun and sensory activities. Our Little Explorers are ready to put to practice their newfound independence by exploring their surroundings as they come with a Brighter understanding of their world around them.
Our kindergarten curriculum focuses on developing foundational skills that prepare students for later learning in the areas of math, science, social studies and language arts.
We originally found this school on Yelp but it's been such a treasure! Our daughter has been attending for the past 1.5 years... she started when she was 3 years old in preschool, and now she's in pre-k. She immediately warmed to the school on her "trial" 1/2 day and she loved her first week onwards. The principal Ms. Ashley is very organized and oversees a very strong school with caring and experienced staff, and programs. We love that they bring in extra curricular programs and teachers (ex. Science, music, dance teachers) and have been very impressed with their communication with parents. All the teachers have been wonderful and we will be very sad to graduate in a few months. The families and community at this school are incredibly supportive and nurturing. Issues are addressed swiftly and most importantly our daughter is learning a lot, thriving, and loves going to school!

We are part of the Building Kidz Worldwide family of campuses, providing San Mateo preschool and childcare services. We are located at 120 Lindbergh Street conveniently close to 3rd Avenue and I-101.

Additionally, our children perform two shows annually: a Broadway-style production in June and a winter recital in December.
