Learning Through Life Experiences

Learning Through Life Experiences allows a child’s learning to become experimental, imaginative and sensory based. Our pedagogical approach is to learn through these real life experiences, such as emergency services, health and nutrition, etc. in an environment committed to reinforce children’s expertise, skills, and values. LTLE provides environments that make learning fun for children through the medium of role-play.

By blending reality with entertainment, it provides an authentic and powerful developmental platform where kids can discover, explore and learn about the real world.

Our city is a rich learning environment where kids foster their autonomy, creativity, decision-making skills, problem-solving skills and social values.

The realism of the role-play helps children learn about different careers, work and know how to manage money. Each activity experience is designed by Educationalists, Play Experts & Child Physiologists to aid and boost different behavioral skills and values in a child.

Bright Beginnings: Infants

In this class we Brighten up the world by helping our youngest children discover their senses, explore their surroundings, nurture their development and celebrate their milestones. From one-on-one interactions that help build nurturing relationships in everyday moments to age-appropriate books to support speech and language development, our classrooms provide the ideal setting for the youngest children. We are also encouraging children to work on finger painting, music, and pretend play to spark creativity while also exposing them to structures to help with perceptual motor development. When children leave this classroom they will have a Brighter Beginning to the world around them.

Little Explorers: Young Toddlers

Our classroom provides an ideal environment to foster individual development and self-help skills. We use a scaffolded approach to learning through systematically building on students’ experiences and knowledge as they are acquiring new skills in order to enhance learning and aid in the mastery of tasks. Their curious minds are exposed to an enriched curriculum focusing on language development by using pictures, books and basic academics in their environment. Following simple instructions is implemented through circle time, story time, art, and curriculum projects. Besides the social, emotional development, we also focus on developing fine motor skills through fun and sensory activities. Our Little Explorers are ready to put to practice their newfound independence by exploring their surroundings as they come with a Brighter understanding of their world around them.

Little Learners: Older Toddlers

Our classrooms are filled with endless learning opportunities to enhance children’s cognitive and language skills with basic academics through small-group activities that encourage investigation, exploration, and discovery. Our scaffolding approach is a critical component in teaching new tasks with multiple steps where our teachers provide support for students. Our children that are now engaging in short sentence conversions are able to absorb information within our curriculum that is designed to support creative expression, literacy and music by fostering their curious minds. By introducing skills that enable independence through enriching art projects and hands-on activities, we are ensuring they are able to expand concepts that were developed in Little Explorers.

Natureville: Two Year Olds

Our curious children are exposed to an environment which supports academic goals while immersing themselves into the beauty of the nature that surrounds them. Children are encouraged to explore within their classroom and within nature to incorporate a broader understanding of colors, shapes, letters and numbers. They are also taught during their creative circle to participate with open-ended questions that spark their cognitive, language and social skills. The children analyze information they know and continue to build their skills through experimenting, comparing and contrasting knowledge. Through everything they acquired while being in this group, the children are bursting with confidence and are ready to learn more about the world.

Around the world: 3 Year Olds

This classroom provides an enriched and challenging hands-on curriculum that continues to ignite children’s inner curiosity enabling realistic learning opportunities through a solid routine that brings out their creativity. Exploring world geography, reading multicultural literature, researching world cultures, playing traditional games are just some of the ways we are building a community of global learners. Throughout the learning process, our students are able to watch their teacher model, or demonstrate, each step in the task or strategy multiple times. Such modeling and repetition allows students to understand both how to perform each step and why each step is important. In this phase our children are practicing by applying their knowledge and developing it further by learning about the world and its food, music and clothing. Children will get to explore and experience various cultures Around the World.

Exploratorium: 4 Year Olds and Up

Our super star explorers have already developed their Confidence, Commitment and Character and are now getting ready for the next phase in their preschool endeavors as future Kindergartners. These children will continue to be lifelong learners and will foster the love for exploration by further building on their existing knowledge base from getting additional exposure to science, math and technology. We implement many opportunities for growth and will continue to build on their emotional, social, cognitive, physical, communication, and academic skills. When the children leave our program, they will be ready to embark on their next journey and will be prepared to take on new challenges confidently!

Kindergarten Program

Our kindergarten curriculum focuses on developing foundational skills that prepare students for later learning in the areas of math, science, social studies, and language arts.

Reading

Understanding the alphabet and reading comprehension is a primary instruction in Kindergarten. Group discussions of books are lead by teachers as students begin to identify characters, settings, and major events in a story. Children ask and answer questions about essential elements of a story.

Recitation of poems, rhymes, and singing of songs helps children use coherent sentences when speaking. Children spell using their enhanced phonetic ability and growing vocabulary.

Writing

Children begin to develop writing skills with guidance by using a combination of drawing, storytelling, and writing to convey an event or share an opinion. With the introduction of phonetics, children begin to understand and document their ideas into words.

Children are also introduced to the computer as a tool to produce and publish writing projects. They spell independently using their enhanced phonetic ability and growing vocabulary.

Mathematics

Our curriculum focuses on understanding the relationship between numbers and quantities. Kindergarteners learn to count to 100 by ones and tens and write numbers from zero to twenty. Children learn that each number refers to a quantity that is one larger as they count objects and say the corresponding number. Kindergarteners count objects (as many as 20) to answer “how many?”

Addition is represented using a variety of approaches; objects, fingers, drawings, sounds, verbal explanations, and equations. Subtraction is represented by putting together items and taking them apart to solve problems up to 10.

Music is integrated into the lessons to accelerate development of spatial temporal reasoning which is integral to the acquisition of important skills in mathematics.

Science

Our children are introduced to life science, physical science, earth science, and space science. They explore materials, objects, and events by observing them, altering them, and noticing what happens. We encourage our children to use all their senses to make careful observations of objects, organisms, and events, thereby developing measurement and classifying skills. They engage in simple investigations including making predictions, gathering, recording and interpreting data, recognizing simple patterns, and drawing conclusions.

Dance is integrated by adding and subtracting movements from a dance sequence within a science lesson to create a correlation to movement of materials and how their properties change.

Foreign Language

Introduction to foreign language incorporates songs, drawing, coloring, and cultural visual aids. Our children learn more easily when taught by song, especially when hand and body gestures are added. This engages children kinesthetically. Music and song also help to reinforce pronunciation and accent as well as vocabulary.
