Toddler Program

Our classroom provides an ideal environment to foster individual development and self-help skills. We use a scaffolded approach to learning through systematically building on students’ experiences and knowledge as they are acquiring new skills in order to enhance learning and aid in the mastery of tasks. Their curious minds are exposed to an enriched curriculum focusing on language development by using pictures, books and basic academics in their environment. Following simple instructions is implemented through circle time, story time, art, and curriculum projects. Besides the social, emotional development, we also focus on developing fine motor skills through fun and sensory activities. Our Little Explorers are ready to put to practice their newfound independence by exploring their surroundings as they come with a Brighter understanding of their world around them.

Parent Testimonials

I have 2 kids in Building Kidz, one who just graduated and one who is still there. This school is awesome, bottom line. It's a little scary leaving your small child in the care of others for the first time and it's quite the relief to find a place where you know your children are in good hands every single day.

When we started looking at preschools we knew we wanted to find a place where the kids actually learned things but also had fun doing it. We toured a few schools and when we got to Building Kidz we knew we had found the one. The curriculum is taught with songs, art, and theater along with lots of outside play time. My son left preschool with a great foundation for kindergarten including counting to one hundred, strong knowledge of the alphabet, basic addition and subtraction, and sight words. His ability to listen, focus, and follow directions has grown leaps and bounds over the past 3 years.

We have found the school to be clean (I mean, they got our kids safely through a pandemic), responsive, and flexible. The best review of all is probably that my kids actually looks forward to going to school every day. Thank you Building Kidz and all your wonderful staff and teachers for caring for my kids and teaching them that learning can be fun!

My 2 sons have been going here over a year and the oldest just moved on to Kindergarten. I'd highly recommend them and feel he is very prepared for Kindergarten. The younger son loves going here!

We have nothing but great things to say about Building Kidz of Scotts Valley. The only reason we took our daughter out was because we moved out of state. The teachers and staff are great and very attentive to specific needs. Our daughter still misses her friends and teachers.

The teachers at building kids are the best. Our son joined when he was two and our daughter when she was five. Teacher Sami is the absolute best for our toddler. He loves her and he loves school. Director Marissa and the teacher Aliveah have done an amazing job supporting my kindergartner through this very challenging year (2021). She loves learning, has been able to take all her zoom classes with the support of a teacher and has been able to play with friends her age through this whole year. They've celebrated all the holidays and milestones together. The support Building Kidz has provided has meant the world to our family.

About Building Kidz of Scotts Valley

Located at 106 Vine Hill School Rd, this Scotts Valley preschool is conveniently located close to I-17 and not far from the Scotts Valley High School.

The school is part of the Building Kidz Worldwide family of campuses whose mission is to deliver a world-class preschool experience resulting in children that love learning, connect with the performing arts, and demonstrate accelerated development of their character, confidence, and commitment. Building Kidz Worldwide, the Franchisor, dedicates 25% of its profits to helping underprivileged children right here at home and around the world.

Our philosophy is to develop the “whole child”. We focus on 6 key areas of development: emotional, social, cognitive, physical, communication, and academic. We create an environment where children are challenged intellectually and are engaged in an interest of lifelong learning through an intelligent integration of academics and performing arts.

Our curriculum is a comprehensive arts-integrated learning program in which children develop skills and knowledge of numeracy, literacy, music, arts, socialization, self-regulation and control, self-efficacy, morality, fine and gross motor skills, and emotional expression.

Additionally, our children perform two shows annually: a Broadway style production in Summer and a Recital in Winter.

If you are looking for a place where your child can grow to love learning, please visit us and see how our preschool in Scotts Valley can give your child the best start possible.
