My name is Marissa Cooney-Moore and Im originally from Vermont. After earning a Masters Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Phonics, I have dedicated my life to being an educator. I am currently the Director of Building Kidz of Scotts Valley, where I lead and manage an exceptional team providing the best care for the children in our community. I continue to leverage my years of experience, organizational abilities, and communication skills to ensure the highest level of safety for our children while maintaining visibility for parents. I am thrilled to be a part of a team that creates exceptional environments for our children which enables them to showcase their unique beings. Our children showcase kindness and love for learning every day. The Building Kidz approach, incorporating performing arts to enhance age-appropriate and academic curricula, provides an arena for the whole child to succeed and develop character, commitment, and confidence. In my free time, I enjoy camping, yoga, hiking, fly fishing, and playing tennis. I also like to experiment with new recipes, hanging out with friends, and meditating to begin each day fresh and prepared to take on any challenge.
