  • The Early Childhood Education Franchise

Why You Should Own a Franchise

Many of us dream of owning our own business. Being our own boss. Using your business to benefit your community. Let’s be honest, though-starting and running your own business can be extremely stressful and difficult. How do we properly hire and train employees? What laws are going to impact my business? How do I get new clients through the door? There are countless questions and problems that seem daunting, and that is where going with a franchise can be beneficial.

A quality franchisor will provide everything new franchisees need when opening their business. They provide all types of training: hiring, marketing, accounting, and everything in between. Rick Grossman says, “These efficiencies are designed to enable franchise owners to earn more and spend less time and effort than otherwise would be required to open and operate a similar business on their own” (entrepreneur.com). When starting your own business from scratch, it is difficult to anticipate the problems that arise. It can be even more difficult to know how best to handle those problems. A quality franchise has the experience to handle such problems, and will be there every step of the way as you grow your business.

    Why Franchise with Building Kidz

The demand for quality early childhood education is growing. The number of households with both parents working is increasing. As are the number of single parent households. And these committed parents are realizing that the better education their young ones receive, the better future they will have. Opening your own early childhood location will not only meet a great demand, it will benefit the community. Especially if it is a Building Kidz School.

I have personally been working with Building Kidz on their blogs and social media account for a few months now. Just three weeks ago, my wife and I opened our own location. Her and I are both trained teachers and taught in public schools. We understand the importance and difficulty of providing quality early childhood education. And in all honesty, we have not found a better early childhood program than the one Building Kidz provides.

As new franchisees, Building Kidz provided us with everything we needed. They helped us scout out multiple locations. They helped us figure out licensing procedures, financial projections, and marketing strategies. On top of that, they provide a one-of-a-kind proprietary curriculum. This curriculum seamlessly integrates academics with the performing arts. Children at each Building Kidz franchise location gain an academic foundation through dance, music, and theater. It is a proven curriculum that has had great success at every location. After being open just three weeks, we already have a waiting list due to the excitement about the new program.

Now, my favorite part about the Building Kidz franchise: The franchisor donates 25% of their profits to under-privileged children across the world. In fact, they just opened up a non-profit school in India that gives children two meals a day, a roof over their heads, and quality learning experiences.

If you decide to open your early childhood education franchise with Building Kidz, you will not be disappointed. And you can be confident that you will help benefit children in your community and in communities throughout the world. Start the process of becoming a franchisee be clicking here.

  • After the First Week

     What a Week!

Well, Building Kidz in Chandler, Arizona just finished our first week of being open. And it has been unforgettable. In just five days, we have gotten to know so many great kids, family, and staff. We have learned that owning and running a preschool and daycare center is truly our calling in life. Being able to bring smiles to children’s faces and joy into their lives-there truly is nothing better.

The first day taught us a lot about owning a preschool in a fun way. The kiddos were playing with slime. One little girl got a giant handful of it and slapped into right into her hair. Meaghan was appalled! Our first day as owners, and we thought a little girl was going to need a drastic haircut. Meaghan spent over and hour carefully and meticulously pulling pieces of slime out of her hair, but to no avail. Then her mom came to pick her up, and graciously told us that it was “no big deal.” When they came back the next day, her hair was slime free. No haircut needed! What we learned from this is simple: when owning and running a preschool, things like this will happen. But if we do our best to love and care for each child to the best of our abilities, it will work out in the child’s best interest. And we promise to do just that.

planned. The school will now be known as “Building Kidz,” and we are bringing in a new curriculum. The new curriculum combines performing arts with academics to help children truly grasp and understand the concepts that are being taught. All children at our center are going to have music, dance, and theater classes every week. And this is all at no extra cost to our fantastic parents. As former teachers, we are confident that this curriculum will benefit all children who come through our doors.

It has been a fantastic first week-here’s hoping for many more!

  • New Daycare in Chandler: After the First Week

    Chandler Daycare-A Great Week

We just finished our first week of being official owners of Building Kidz, a new daycare and preschool in Chandler, Arizona. And it has been unforgettable. In just five days, we have gotten to know so many great kids, family, and staff. We have learned that owning and running a preschool is truly our calling in life. Being able to bring smiles to children’s faces and joy into their lives-there truly is nothing better.

The first day taught us a lot about owning a preschool and daycare in a fun way. The preschool class was doing an unusual experiment and making slime. One little girl got a giant handful of it and slapped into right into her hair. Meaghan was shocked! Our first day as owners, and we thought a little girl was going to need a drastic haircut. Meaghan spent over an hour carefully and meticulously pulling pieces of slime out of her hair, but to no avail. Then her mom came to pick her up, and graciously told us that it was “no big deal.” When they came back the next day, her hair was slime free. No haircut needed! What we learned from this is simple: when owning and running a childcare center, things like this will happen. But if we do our best to love and care for each child to the best of our abilities, it will work out in the child’s best interest. And we promise to do just that.

After that first day, a lot has continued to happen. As new owners, we are ready to enhance the current program for the benefit of the kiddos. The school will now be known as “Building Kidz,” and we are slowly introducing a new curriculum. The new curriculum combines performing arts with academics to help children truly grasp and understand the concepts that are being taught in our toddler, pre-k, and school-age rooms. As former teachers, we are confident that this curriculum will benefit all children who come through our doors.

It has been a fantastic first week-here’s hoping for many more!

  • Thoughts From an ECE Franchise

Owning an Early Childhood Education Franchise

Last week we talked about why owning a franchise is beneficial, and how it can be easier than starting your own business from scratch. We then talked about owning an Early Childhood Education franchise. Owning an ECE franchise is great, and the market is booming. From a personal standpoint, though, what is it actually like to own a franchise in the ECE industry?

My wife and I officially opened up our first Building Kidz location about six weeks ago. We purchased a struggling preschool, converted it to a Building Kidz School, and are in the process of bringing it back to life.  While that in no way qualifies us as experts, we have learned a lot and faced more challenges than we could have expected. But we have also seen the excitement of learning brighten the faces of the children in our school. We have seen employees latch on to the new curriculum and program we have brought in. They have found a new vigor for their jobs and the kids they teach as they see the commitment Building Kidz has to the children.

    Owning a Building Kidz Franchise

We decided to go with Building Kidz instead of a different Early Childhood Education franchise for more multiple reasons, but one of them stood out above the rest: They are truly about the kids. This is crucial. Existing and potential parents need to know that our main concern is not in collection tuition, or in cutting a budget to meet a bottom line. They want and need to know that, no matter what, we will do all that we can to provide each and every child with the best experience possible.

The second reason we went with Building Kidz is their unique, proprietary curriculum. The founders of Building Kidz poured countless hours into research and curriculum development. The result? A focused curriculum that integrates performing arts and academics. Each child learns academic subjects through the mediums of dance, music, and theater.

You see, it is an amazing feeling to own your own business. But it is even more satisfying to own a business that benefits children’s lives and the entire community.

  • Literacy and Early Childhood Education

    Early Literacy

It goes without saying that literacy, the ability to read and right, is crucial to being successful in today’s world. People need to be able to communicate effectively to achieve their personal, educational, and vocational goals. Would it not follow, then, that the earlier children begin building literacy skills the more success they will have in the future?

Studies show that early literacy does in fact play a large role in the future success of our children. “Not only does reading in the early years support kindergarten readiness, but early literacy builds a foundation for future academic success and overall achievement” (hertzfurniture.com). It begins by simply reading to kids from the time they are infants. Allowing them to hold and play with books. Teaching them through example and experience that reading and writing are fun.

Zerotothree.org states that: “Early language and literacy (reading and writing) development begins in the first 3 years of life and is closely linked to a child’s earliest experiences with books and stories.” Think about that: A child’s early literacy development is connected to what experiences they have with books before they are even old enough to crawl. How, then, can we give infants and toddlers more positive reading experiences?

    Early Literacy at Building Kidz

At Building Kidz, we pride ourselves in having a set curriculum for ALL of our students, including our infants. Our teachers for each and every age group provide their students with meaningful reading experiences on a daily basis. True, infants can’t speak or read, but they CAN see and hear.

Our teachers read to them, show them books and pictures. They tell these blossoming little ones what it is they are seeing. It is common in our centers to see infants, toddlers, and preschoolers smile brightly as a teacher hands them a book. Our children, and our teachers, know of the joy and importance that comes from reading and storytelling. And isn’t that something we want all of our children to understand?
